Plans submitted for new supermarket
Inside Salisbury: Smyths Toys and HomeSense to be replaced?
By Annette J Beveridge
PLANS to replace two businesses on the Churchill Way West Retail Park have been submitted to Wiltshire Council.
Permissions to reconfigure units 1 and 2 have been requested by Urban Edge Architecture on behalf of Schroders Real Estate Investment Management. The new shop front would reach across the expanse of the two current units.
The units are currently occupied by Smyths Toys and HomeSense, but it appears that Lidl is the only business listed as occupying the two units if the plans are approved. It would mean if permission is granted, that Smyths Toys in Unit 1 and HomeSense in Unit 2 would leave the respected sites in January, and February 2025.
