Inside Salisbury: Festive charity event offering raffles, games, and tombolas
Help the Dogs Trust Salisbury care for its 62 dogs this Christmas
by Annette J Beveridge
CHRISTMAS is a time of giving and one local pet charity is hoping that residents will support its annual Festive Fair helping them to protect the dogs in their care.
The seasonal event is an opportunity for the community to come together and to support the work the Dogs Trust does in Salisbury.
The event will take place at The Dogs Trust in Newton Tony from Saturday, November 30 to Sunday, December 1 from 11 am-3 pm.
Dogs Trust Salisbury's Supporter Relations Officer, Justine Salkeld, said: “Our Christmas fair is always a wonderful occasion. This year promises to be a fantastic day out for family, friends and canine companions. We look forward to welcoming everyone along to the rehoming centre for a festive, fun-filled afternoon. All the money donated at the Christmas Fair will go directly towards supporting the dogs in our care and finding them a happy place to call home. It’s a wonderful way to raise pounds for hounds whilst getting in the Christmas spirit.
“It’s always very busy and noisy at the Christmas Fair, so although we hope lots of dogs, especially former Dogs Trust Salisbury residents, come along - we would ask people to only bring their dogs if they are sure they will thoroughly enjoy it.”
