As a lover of the written word and someone who has spent much of my life writing professionally, I think the answer is yes, Salisbury does have room for another publication.
As a journalist, I find the news interesting and I like to keep up with current affairs - who doesn’t want to know what is happening nearby? However, when working for the Salisbury Journal as a community reporter, I realised that I didn’t just want to write about the news. I also wanted to explore the city’s many layers of history, the culture, and the businesses and to get out on the streets talking to the people who live here.
Salisbury is a multitude of things - a blend of the old with the new and yet, it maintains its old-world charm. From the wildlife, the architecture, to the pubs and cafes - there is always a story to be told, so why not bring all these elements to life?
This place that we call home is beautiful and we are all a part of something much bigger than us but we add to Salisbury’s richness and culture.
Inside Salisbury will discuss the issues facing us, but will cover the positive news too.
If Salisbury’s rivers are the veins, the people are its lifeforce.
Inside Salisbury will bring everyday life to the fore and look to the past, present and the future for inspiration.
